Platelet rich plasma injection
Platelet rich plasma injection (more commonly known as PRP injection or PRP therapy) is a treatment that involves injecting a small amount of one’s own blood into slowly healing soft tissue injuries to speed up the body’s own healing process.
Orthopaedic surgeons use PRP to help athletes recover more quickly after an injury. In dermatology, PRP is being tested as a possible treatment for hair loss. PRP may also speed up wound healing. A few dermatologists are using PRP to give patients younger-looking skin
PRP injections are used to treat several conditions, including:
- Torn tendons
- Tendinitis

- Arthritis -related pain
- Joint injuries
